About Image Tools

Image Tools is a small collection of free online tools for the everyday jobs people do with photos: making a file small enough for a form, resizing a picture for a website, or changing a PNG into a JPG.

We built the site around one decision: your images should never have to leave your device. Most tool websites upload your photo to their server before they can work on it. Ours do the work inside your web browser instead, using standard technology that is already on your phone or computer. That makes the tools faster, and it makes them private in a way we never have to ask you to trust — there is simply no upload happening.

What you can do here

• Compress images with a quality slider, or to exact targets of 50KB, 100KB and 200KB
• Resize images to exact pixel dimensions, percentages or handy presets
• Convert between JPG, PNG and WebP
• Prepare correctly sized images for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X
• Read plain-English guides that explain the "why" behind sizes and formats

How the site stays free

The site is supported by advertising. Ads let us keep every tool free, with no accounts, no watermarks and no "pro" version hiding the useful features. If you ever spot a problem with a tool or a guide, we would love to hear about it through the contact page.
